Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) & Nobiskrug will play a significant role in developing a brand-new standard for the maritime industry to achieve a greater level of emissions reductions and improve performance across the entire non-operational life cycle of a ship, from new builds to end of life.
FSG & Nobiskrug are excited to contribute in creating the Ship Environmental Performance Index (SEPI) and the Ship Lifecycle Passport (SLP) in close collaboration with its European partners from a vast range of industries including shipyards, NGOs, research organizations and other maritime experts. The SEPI and Ship Lifecycle Passport will help the whole maritime industry to identify critical emission hotspots in in order to improve efficiency in their processes and give all stakeholders a greater knowledge of their overall product.
FSG & Nobiskrug will share its expertise in the new build sector during the whole CirclesOfLife project to give support and fresh ideas to develop concepts and methodologies for the SEPI and Ship Lifecycle Passport as well as the shipyard case studies.
Focussing on sustainability, quality and efficiency, FSG & Nobiskrug can set a great example with CirclesOfLife to create a system to better protect the environment and thus shape the shipping industry of tomorrow.
