Bureau Veritas

Bureau Veritas M&O is proud to participate in this innovative and collaborative project, which receives co-funding from the European Union. At Bureau Veritas M&O, we are deeply committed to fostering trust within the maritime industry, and we recognize the significance of adopting a holistic perspective when addressing sustainability challenges.

Hence, we regard the creation of both a Shipyard Environmental Performance Index (SEPI) and Ship Lifecycle Passport (SLP) as pivotal advancements towards these efforts. A SEPI has the potential to enhance the maritime industry’s capacity to assess and transparently communicate the environmental impact of shipyards’ construction, repair, and end-of-life activities. Moreover, we seek to leverage our expertise in composite materials to thoroughly evaluate their impact throughout a ship’s lifecycle and advocate for their circularity.

Through these initiatives, we are committed to fostering a more transparent, sustainable, and circular maritime industry.

This groundbreaking project has received financial support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement no. 101138013.
