CirclesOfLife: two years of communication & impact

In support of a more sustainable shipbuilding industry

Since its launch in 2024, the Horizon Europe–funded CirclesOfLife project has deployed an ambitious communication and dissemination strategy to support the transition towards more circular and lower-emission shipbuilding. A look back at a structured journey combining tools, content and key European milestones.

Visual identity, website and key messages: from the very first months, CirclesOfLife put in place coherent communication tools to establish a clear and credible framework.

A growing professional community
LinkedIn quickly became the project’s main communication channel, bringing together a targeted community of maritime professionals, while YouTube enabled the dissemination of more in-depth educational content.

Content designed to inform and enable action
Expert videos, newsletters and press releases: CirclesOfLife’s communication aims to make circularity tangible, operational and aligned with European regulatory frameworks.

A strong anchoring within the European ecosystem
With more than 30 dissemination activities and the organisation of the Green Shipping Industry Day 2025 in Brussels, together with Green Marine Europe and EcoShipYard, CirclesOfLife has built strong bridges between industry, research and public decision-makers.

Looking ahead to 2026
The final year of the project will focus on scaling up impact: new content, training sessions, final conferences and strengthened policy dialogue.
